Applications Development Senior Specialist

·         Lead developer in a team of four responsible for design and implementation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) interfaces for the Disability Management Integrated Claims Management System (DM ICMS).   Providing analysis of customer requirements for interfaces, working with customers, account managers, database architects, support personnel, and management to implement CIGNA’s standard interfaces and as required architect custom interfaces according to customer specifications.

·         Development and support of EDI interfaces for the (DM ICMS) in Oracle v8.x & v10g databases using SQL Navigator, PL/SQL, TOAD, SQL Plus, Unix Shell scripting, Oracle PL/SQL, & Perl.   Provide primary knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL for port of EDI interfaces to Oracle PL/SQL from RDB db on Open VMS w/DCL scripting.   Principally responsible for development of PL/SQL intake and extract interface development and Unix/Perl script for job control and monitoring and logging.
